Rangers win home opener

The New York Rangers won their home opener last night, defeating the Ottawa Senators 5-2 in front of a sellout crowd at Madison Square Garden. It was all New York early as the Rangers out shot the Sens in the first period and had several quality scoring chances. The Rangers scored the first goal of the game 3:20 into the second period and never looked back. Vaclav Prospal scored his first goal of the season and his first as a New York Ranger. The story behind how it came to be is incredible, and I promise worth the read.
