For Sale: 1 Bruins Season Ticket, Great Seats, Terrible Team and Management

Chuck Kobasew

What’s going on at the TD Garden? Well I know what’s not going on, winning. The B’s drop another one to soon-to-be homeless Phoenix after stomping Dallas 3-0. Where is the consistency? And then, they go and trade slumping Chuck Kobasew to Minnesota for “rights” to sign forward Alexander Fallstrom and forward Craig Weller, and the Wild’s 2011 second round draft pick. So let me get this sorted out, the B’s were going to deal Kobasew in the off season so they could sign Kessel, they don’t, instead the get draft picks, Kessel goes to Toronto and now we get rid of Kobasew for some potentially signed forwards and a draft pick. Chiarelli, how many picks do you want? You’re picking up draft picks like they are dot-com stock shares in the late 90’s.

B’s drop another one…

BruinsSo there has been a lot of chatter about the B’s coverage on the Loge. Yes, as Clark Dub has said there are Whalers blogs that have been updated more frequently than the B’s blog….good one, have fun golfing in April. Yes, I know the B’s coverage has been soft, Commish was just promoted and the Kiiiiid is now in B-school so time to have fun has been short, but we have not been slacking on the B’s watching. So, for those of you who do not know, the B’s look like dog poo, tonight they dropped their third of the season to the Avs to drop to 2-3 on the season. The B’s now stand third in the division and 10th in the Eastern Conference. A big deal? NO. But I don’t like it and I’m not happy with them. The Bruins are not doing what they should, tonight they went down 2-0 early in the first and no one wanted to drop the buckets and stand up for the team. Why not? I don’t know, maybe Thorton’s purse was too heavy or Lucic didn’t have his dose of cranberry juice this weekend. Yes, I’m calling out town favorite Milan, if he wants to feed me my lunch, by all means, atleast I know he can still throw a punch, sissy.

Top Hits of the 2008-2009 NHL Season

I’m going to go with the top hits of the ’08-’09 season because metaphorically that’s what the kiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiid’s going through today. Because I am getting RAILROADED with work right now…enjoy the video, I have not been able to watch it yet.

By the way, I was walking past Tresca last night on my way home from work, and outside they had pictures of local Bruins players, autographed, with a note like “Thanks for the great food, Milan Lucic”. I was thinking, if I ate at Tresca or Lucca or whatever, I wonder if they would post a picture of me sitting in my cube working, an action shot of course, with a little note. I think it would be pretty cool, my only concern is that someone would try and steal it to make a few bucks by selling it on eBay.

OK, I had a chance to watch the video, and I think I can align my day really well with hit #4 or #2. Here’s why, as for hit #4, here I am thinking I’m  making a pretty good play today, I put the puck on net (finish off some projects) and then BAAAAAAAAAAM, I get blindsided and my sh*t goes everywhere….as for hit #2, here I am going through my day going to make some moves, get the puck deep, yea I know I’m going to get rubbed out, but whatever. Next thing you know the GD turnbuckle shows its face and picking my chicklets up off the ice (translated to I’m trying to cruise out of here, under the radar, I’ll probably have some things to do, and then BOOM, I get my clock cleaned by some project I didn’t anticipate).

thekiiid’s Top 3 Games of the ’08-’09 Season

I wanted to do this after the Boston Bruins were knocked out, but I was unhappy, and lazy, so I’m going to do it now. I want to go over the top 3 games I attended this past season. I was able to see quite a few games this year, in a few different venues, so this is not limited to Bruins games alone, instead games I attended around the league.  So, before the announcement from the NHL this afternoon, here are my top three games of the season, feel free to post yours:

3.

The third best game I saw this season is actually a tie. It’s a tie between the Redwings/Bruins game on November 29th and the Blackhawks/Bruins game on March 7th. I have these at a tie for a few reasons and on my top 3 games this season for another. First of all, in general, the reason these games are on my top three are because this is something the NHL needs to do on an annual basis. The NHL needs to renew the rivalries of the Original 6 teams. Although people say the Original 6 is no big deal and yada yada yada, it’s the heritage of the league. It’s a shame that teams in the Western Conference  only see Eastern Conference Original 6 matchups maybe a few times during the season, and vice-versa.

Bruins Recap, Jack Edwards nightmare and NHL Links – 3.30

Creep

Creep

Bruins took a big 4-3 game over the Philly last night.

This post will be mostly filled with videos since I didn’t get much sleep after waking up in cold sweats all night from reoccurring nightmares of Jack Edward’s psychotic cackle. Video below if you haven’t seen it yet:

A-very Warm Welcome From the Big Apple

"Hey Fatso, I'm Baaaaacck"

"Hey Fatso, I'm Baaaaacck"

I’m sick of reading articles and blog posts about how Sean Avery is an idiot, how he has not changed, and how he will surely wear out his welcome in New York, “like he has everywhere else.”  Listen, we all know Avery can be a punk and he does some stupid stuff at times, but lets not get carried away here; after all, he is slowly becoming a new face of the NHL.

Marty Turco caught napping

Slow day here in the Loge, so I wanted to post another terrible goal as a follow-up to Brian Boucher’s lapse last week. I do not know what Turco was up to here, but he allowed the game tying goal with 13 seconds left. I know goalies are an entirely different breed, but what causes them to lose complete focus when there is so much going on around them? Watch Turco just before Kopitar throws it on net, he looks at the scoreboard or something. For a team fighting for a solidified playoff spot, this is not the way to be giving up valuable points in the standings.

Thanks to Rearadmiral from Barstoolsports.com for the heads up.
