Rangers Knock off Caps

The New York Rangers battled the Washington Capitals until the final buzzer. In the end, the Rangers emerged victorious handing the Caps their first regulation loss of the season. (The last time the Rangers played the Caps, the Rangers were defeated in game seven of the East Conference quarter finals). Henrik Lundqvist made 25 saves, but let up a soft goal in the third, which at the time tied the game at two. From there, it was the Marian Gaborik show. Gaborik scored the tying goal and game winner, both wrist shots that beat Jose Theodore between the legs. If Gaborik can stay healthy he can be one of the best in the NHL. He has it all; explosive speed, a great shot, and he is a smart two way forward.

The Rangers return to MSG on Sunday where they will face the Anaheim Ducks (fresh off their big 6-1 win over the Bruins).

This was the first time the Rangers beat the Caps in Washington since February of 2007.

Finally, I never thought I would say this, but I miss Sean Avery. That is the explanation for the video…
